High Tech Computer Laboratories

MITCOE offers an excellent infrastructure with ‘State of the Art’ Computer Laboratories. This infrastructure of international standards has been developed for each discipline of study that goes far beyond the stipulated requirement. We have very well planned laboratories built around a modular concept that simulates a near industry environment. Our IT infrastructure, comprising nearly more than PCs and state-of-the-art servers backed by professional System managers, is at par with the best in the country. With round the clock web access, our students can reach globally for enhancement of their knowledge and career.

All the seven computers labs with 400 Pcs are well equipped with latest computer configuration, peripherals and software. One of the labs is completely dedicated for Project and Research work. The labs are connected to fiber optic backbone network of the campus and server-client technology. Four Mbps leased line facilitates high-speed Internet Access for the organization.

A core team of four network Administrators having international certifications like MCSE, CCNA, CNA, Cluster Professional and database expertise help in maintaining the sophisticated network system providing exposure to a mixed platform environment of Novell Netware 5.X, Windows 2000 / 2003, Red-Hat Linux 9.0 (Shrike) / Fedora.

Applications like MS office XP and Turbo C, Rational Rose, Oracle 9i Database Server, Visual Studio .Net series, Matlab are few of the software, which are used for academics and research work.

A dedicated hardware lab comprising of different high end servers with Raid technology and clustered environment from server giants like IBM and HP along with Gateways, Routers and Switches.

 

Expertise of networking and database with persons Milind Joshi having proficiency in database handling with experience of more than 9 years each and Prasad Dharurkar network support engineer make up the team of Network and Hardware Department.

Education Testing Site (ETS)

We are proud to announce that MIT Engineering College is now an authorized testing center for TOEFL iBT examination. ETS a non-profit organization authorized to conduct the exams for TOEFL, GRE, GMAT and other exams the score of which enable the student to take admission in Universities of Europe and America for the perusal of higher studies.

Our organization is one of the fore-runners in launching the iBT examinations of TOEFL in a large scale in Maharashtra.

Also it is one of the largest sites for the conduction of the TOEFL exams in India. The college has also initiated a dialogue with ETS for acquiring the test centers for GRE and GMAT.
